Nash Bash 2006

Adrian's Rugby team, the Hamilton Southeastern Royals, travelled to Music City this weekend for the 3rd Annual Nash Bash Rugby Invitational at Vanderbilt University. We ended up 1-2 for the weekend. Adrian suffered a concussion carrying the ball towards the end line. His opponent grabbed his jersey and flung him around, bouncing the back of his head off the ground, just inches from a try (rugby's touchdown). We went to the Vandy Univ. Hospital ER and had a CT Scan. All normal, but a bit scary. Another Royal suffered a concussion as well in the second game. Last year, we didn't have a concussion all season! It was a great weekend of rugby, and the regular season starts this Thursday against Lawrence. Adrian will have to sit 2 weeks to let his brain settle. Hopefully Dr. Arnold will let him lift so he can stay is some conditioning, otherwise he'll turn to mush!
